nothing remarkable (variations)

(what it was supposed to be)

"nothing remarkable"
is the title of a poem that doesn't exist

because

the poet is lacking
even the most tenuous
grasping
semblance
of talent.

(what it was trying to become)

"nothing remarkable"
is the title of a poem that doesn't exist

because today

the poet is lacking
any tenuous, grasping semblance
of talent.

instead,

of water poured over her tea bag
(cinnamon-tan, frangrant marrรณn)
and,
