carnal and gantle

tell me something
that I haven't heard before...

the way your hair curls around your neck
could topple idols;
I worship
the bend and curve of your back.

I want to see
the soft, awkward terrain of your body
stretched out before me,
and my hands know
what my words are floundering to say:

I love you,
carnal and gentle.

. . .

abreviated version:

wild roses bloom
throny vines twisting
bones--limbs--tendrils
fingertips tentetive petals

version written when obviously bored:

I swallow brambles
and let wild roses bloom inside of m;
thorny vines twining around my bones, they spread through my limbs;
tendrils pushing through my fingertips, tentetive green;
petals puching through my eyes, soft velvet-silk filling my mouth
