my moon-faced darling
the first of many poems that have been waiting to be dug out of my notes and released into the mostly oblivious interwebs.
there is a revision (at least one) in its future, but perhaps not in the immediate future...
my moon-faced darling
(you taste like rice-paper
feel like white powder)
everything about you is pale
wan
no matter how deep your passion
your cheeks remain
unripe
and beneath it all
your heart beats desperate
like a ruby-breasted
jade hummingbird
